Tamil Nadu cricket team

The Tamil Nadu cricket team is one of the Elite Group cricket teams of the Ranji Trophy, the top cricketing competition in India.

Home venue

The team is based at the MA Chidambaram Stadium (formely known as the Chepauk and also as the Madras Cricket Club Ground), named after a former president of the BCCI. It has a capacity of 50,000, it was established in 1916, and had floodlights built in 1996.
