Professional basketball

Professional basketball refers to a number of leagues in which athletes play in sports arenas, on organized teams, for profit. The largest and most profitable league is the NBA. There's also the WNBA, the female equivalent. Numerous smaller leagues exist. Any player who plays on a professional basketball team disqualifies himself from participating in NCAA athletics.
