Benny the Bull
Benny the Bull, commonly known as Benny, is the mascot of the Chicago Bulls. February 10, 2006 – Chicago’s own Benny the Bull was selected last week to perform during the 2006 NBA All-Star Weekend Festivities Feb. 16-21.
This will mark the first time in a decade that Benny has attended the five-day All Star event, being held this year at the Toyota Center in Houston.
Benny will be joined by a select few of his mascot counterparts from around the league in keeping the crowds entertained between All-Star events.
“The Chicago Bulls are proud to have Benny the Bull joining our players in Houston for the 2006 NBA All-Star Game,” stated Jeff Wohlschlaeger, the team’s Director of Game Operations.
Wohlschlaeger is largely responsible for the recent revitalization of Benny the Bull into a legitimate All-Star mascot.
“Benny’s hard work and talents were noticed by the NBA Entertainment ‘scouts’ and we’re sure he’ll represent the city of Chicago and all Bulls fans with pride,” he concluded.
