Allan Howell
Allan Howell former GM/President of the Ottawa Roughriders, has done jail time for numerous counts of fraud related to sports franchises. His crimes range from petty theft to crimes ranging in the thousands of dollars. He also has an extensive history of other fraud- related charges.
As of November 28, his ABA (American Basketball Association) franchise (The Niagara Daredevils) was defaulted by the league's head office due to more fraudulent activities. The team lasted a total of three games. This is Howell's third attempt at an ABA franchise, but this time he got the farthest ever.
Howell has fled Canada. He missed two court dates and feared facing his fate. Police have now located him in Jamaica.
